- Login
to your WordPress (/wp-admin/) Panel ex: http
://www-your-site.com/wp-admin
- Once logged in, simply click on the “Presentation” menu button.
- You can change themes by simply clicking on them.
If you would like to install a Theme that you have / or may have found online, simply do the following:
- Download the theme to your computer (preferably to your Desktop)
- Now use your FTP
program or File Manager to upload the theme.
- Be sure to use the proper FTP
settings; web address without WWW (domain name
), username, and a password
.
- Now navigate your FTP
program to your WordPress directory thats located in your /public_html/.
- Once you are in the correct directory go to /wp-content/themes/
- Now, unzip your new theme that you saved on your desktop, once you have completed this; you will see a new folder on your desktop called the theme name that you downloaded.
- You should be in /public_html/wp-content/themes/ with your FTP
program, select the theme folder on your desktop and start the upload with your FTP
program.
- The theme will be uploaded. Once completed, please close the FTP
application.
- Back to the WordPress Administration Panel (/wp-admin/) click on “Presentation” menu button
- To activate your new theme is easy, simply click the theme thumbnail and you’re done!
