All hosting accounts come with PHP 4 and PHP 5, however if your using software or a script that requires PHP 5 or higher it has to be enabled.

To enable PHP 5 create an .htaccess file if there isn't one already and add the following code to the top of it.

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php5 php

Then upload it to the directory of your website that you wish to enable PHP 5 support.

Example if its the root simply upload the .htaccess file to the public_html folder, if its a directory upload it to the directory you created; for example public_html/blog/ but be sure not to over write an exisisting .htaccess file. If there is on already simply add the following to your exisisting .htaccess file and your done.
