First Choose a Hosting Plan

You first will need to select a 'Vision this Hosting Plan'. We offer two types of hosting plans to fit your needs. Web Hosting and Blog Hosting, which you will be able to compare plans about our web hosting plans and what's included for features. Once you select a plan and place the order you will receive detailed information by email, including the control panel access URL plus your login and password.

Updating your DNS Records

After you have placed your order, you will need to modify the DNS Name Servers for your domain name. To do this you need to login to your 'Registrar,' this is where you purchased your domain name. If the domain name was purchased through another web host provider you may need to contact their support department to obtain the login information.

Setting the name servers up in your registrar to point to our name servers is really quiet simple. You can find the settings for 'Vision This hosting,' inside your new Domain Control Panel and in the email/invoice that was sent with your purchase order.

In the Control Panel once logged in, click "Domains Icon," and at the bottom, you will find the DNS Name Servers for your domain name.

Now login to the registrar and make the modifications there to point to our name servers, and be sure to put them in the following order.

• ns1.visionthishosting.com
• ns2.visionthishosting.com

Once you have put in the new 'DNS Name Servers,' be sure to save the changes for it to take affect! Your New DNS entry, may take 24 to 48 hours for it to fully propagate and for the changes to come into effect. Afterwards, your domain name will be 'pointing' to our servers, and you will be able to access your site with a web browser.

Setting Up Your New Site

You can start working on your site and upload it immediately after your order has been processed. We will provide the login information and a temporary URL, which you can start working on your new domain right away. This way you are guaranteed that by switching to our domain servers will have no drastic downtime and all scripts and databases can be fully tested by the time the DNS records update. If you experience any problems transferring your site, please let us know and we will assist you.

Important

Please keep in mind that the necessary DNS changes are the domain owners responsibility and that we cannot perform the domain transfer automatically, this is a manual process and must be done by the domain name owner.
